On this edition of '6 Degrees' we look at the late, great frontman of The Small Faces and Humble Pie - Steve Marriott.
Steve Marriott formed Humble Pie in 1969 - being the guitarist and singer during two spells from 1969 - 75 and again from 1979 - 83.
His co-founder was an eighteen year old Pete Frampton.
Pete Frampton played on David Bowie's 1987 album, Never Let Me Down and the following Glass Spider Tour.
Peter Gabriel covered Bowie's Heroes on his 2009 album, Scratch My Back.
A young Paul Weller appeared as a session musician on Peter Gabriel III, which was the one with Games Without Frontiers and Biko, although he only appears on And Through The Wire.
And who should appear as a guest musician on two tracks on Weller's 2010 album, Wake Up The Nation, but one KEVIN SHIELDS.
